All Points North 2019 – Part 2

26/05. 00.00 As I was getting ready to leave the warm glow of the Liddesdale Arms I couldn’t help but attract some attention from some local lads outside the pub, having a smoke. The ice lakes have turned to liquid on Hob Moor! Spring is in the air and with it brings hope of new beginnings and those much anticipated morning rides ☺️

I finished @twovolcanosprint as third lady and 22nd overall! I haven’t posted much during or since finishing race as I wanted to step away from social media and perhaps the impending reality back home. As soon as I stepped on the plane I buried my head in the sand in anticipation of the two weeks of isolation ahead.
Tomorrow morning at 0430 BST I’m setting off on the @twovolcanosprint - a 1000km ultra ride with 24,000m ascent between Mt Vesuvias and Mt Etna. Getting to the start line has been enough of a challenge but I’m thankful to be here and feeling good. Good luck to everyone racing!
