Trans Alba Race

The dates for Trans Alba 2020 have been released, check it out here. I thought it was about time I shared my own journey of the race this year, finishing as first female and second overall. If you’re thinking of entering the race this should provide some insight. The start line: 1st July 2019, 8.45am. 39 […]

All Points North 2019 – Part 2

Contrary to my initial assumption they were actually really friendly, simply curious to know why a female cyclist would be setting off into […]

All Points North 2019 – Part 1

The inaugural edition of All Points North was brilliant, made so by the amount of work organisers Ange and Tori had put in to make it a success. The volunteer support at the start and end was second to none with food and drink aplenty. Before the start nothing was too much trouble while the […]

The Trans Alba Race

January: Training / Work / Life Balance In advance of the inaugural Trans Alba Race in July, I thought I would write a short blog post about a different aspect of my preparation and general musings each month. First of all.. the TransWhat?. In the words of the organisers: The Trans Alba Race is a […]

I discovered a cracked rim on the Rondo on Thursday while prepping for an Easter weekend of miles 😥 Victor Vitus came right to the rescue and that’s why everyone should have an n+1...
The Yorkshire coast is a real gem. Taking it in during last weekend’s @orbit360_ makes me want to go back for more and experience some cold water therapy in the North Sea! 🥶
The ice lakes have turned to liquid on Hob Moor! Spring is in the air and with it brings hope of new beginnings and those much anticipated morning rides ☺️
2020!?!
I finished @twovolcanosprint as third lady and 22nd overall! I haven’t posted much during or since finishing race as I wanted to step away from social media and perhaps the impending reality back home. As soon as I stepped on the plane I buried my head in the sand in anticipation of the two weeks of isolation ahead.
Tomorrow morning at 0430 BST I’m setting off on the @twovolcanosprint - a 1000km ultra ride with 24,000m ascent between Mt Vesuvias and Mt Etna. Getting to the start line has been enough of a challenge but I’m thankful to be here and feeling good. Good luck to everyone racing!
